ISSUE: Recognize Smyrna Basketball Assn 2019 Championship Boys & Girls Teams
BACKGROUND:
SBA Boys Teams 8U, 10U and 12U competed at the GRPA District 5 Tournament at Lakepoint Facility in Emerson (Feb 16-21). The three Smyrna teams swept the championships to become District Champs, and the 8U team went on to win the State Championship, held March 1st and 2nd in Spalding County (the 10U and 12U boys placed third in the State tournament). The 8U and 10U boys teams also won County and the 12U boys were runners-up. The 8U boys did not lose a game during the entire post season.
SBA Girls Team 12U defeated South Cobb to win the Cobb Championship and finished third at State Championships in Savannah.
