ISSUE: Annual renewal of property liability insurance coverage
BACKGROUND: The city maintains property liability insurance with an annual coverage period of May 1- April 30. Current coverage ends April 30, 2019. Rates are based on 5-year look back (May 2013 - April 2018). Due to an increase in employment count, payroll and claims activity, the city will see a 10% increase in premiums ($57,737).
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Approval of Property/Liability Insurance annual renewal with Georgia Local Government Risk Management Agency (GIRMA) for $607,263 and authorize Mayor to execute related documents.
