ISSUERevision to policy to reflect $1.00/hour increase to speciality pay of Detention and Communication Officers

 

BACKGROUNDA revision to this policy is needed to reflect an increase in per hour rates for speciality pay of Detention and Communication Training Officers. In 2019 budget, Police Training Officers were increased to $2/hour, but Detention and Communication Training Officers were not included. The Police department adjusted their FY2020 budget to include Detention and Communications. This will provide pay uniformity throughout the department when performing training officer duties. Note: This increase is only applicable when performing this duty.
