ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Approval to purchase a 2021 Ford F-750 chassis with a Monroe spreader and 9' (nine foot) plow. The vehicle and equipment will be purchased using the Georgia State Contract # 99999-01-SPD-0000155
From Wade Ford 3860 South Cobb Drive Smyrna, Georgia 30080 Funded in the FY21 Vehicle replacement fund for a total cost of $106,532.00. The Public Works Department budgeted in the FY21 Vehicle replacement fund for replacement of a 1998 GMC T7500 sand Spreader. The vehicle and equipment will be purchased using the Georgia State Contract #99999-01-SPD-0000155, Wade Ford 3860 South Cobb Drive Smyrna Georgia 30080. This vehicle has already been competitively bid through this contract.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: The Public Works Director, Public Works staff and Purchasing Department Manager recommend approval to purchase a 2021 Ford F-750 Chassis with a Monroe Spreader and Boss 9' (nine foot) plow for Public Works at a cost of $106,532.00, funded in the FY21 vehicle replacement fund, and purchased through Wade Ford using the Georgia State Contract #99999-01-SPD-0000155, as well as approval to authorize the Mayor to execute all related documents.
