ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: Approval to purchase three (3) 2021 Mack 42BR chassis with Heil PT-1000 20 cubic yard rear loader Recycling trucks through Sourcewell Contract # 18956 Carolina Environmental Systems Inc.
The Public Works Department was authorized 544,800.00 in the FY21 vehicle replacement fund for the replacement of Three (3) 2007 International 4300 Recycle trucks. The Vehicles and equipment will be purchased using the sourcewell Contract #18956 . The vehicles and equipment has already been competitively bid through cooperative contract. The vehicles and equipment will be purchased from Carolina Environmental Systems Inc. 500 Lee Industrial Blvd Austell, Ga. 30168
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: The Public Works Director, Public Works Staff and Finance Purchasing Manager recommend approval for the pruchase of three (3) 2021 Mack 42BR chassis with Heil PT- 1000, 20 cubic yard rear loader Recycling Trucks at a cost of $541,806.00, funded in the FY21 vehicle replacement fund and purchased through Sourcewell Contract Member # 18956 - Carolina Environmental Systems Inc., 500 Lee Industrial Blvd., Austell, Georgia, 30168, as well as authorize the Mayor to execute all related documents.
