ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

Cobb County has received Community Development Block Grant - COVID 19 (CDBG-CV) funding through the Coronovirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) through supplemental funding to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to carry out various housing and community development activities in its unincorporated areas and in municipalities participating in the County CDBG program. A total of $187,352.00 (Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Covid -19 Supplies).

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Approval of Resolution 2020-07 for the City of Smyrna to be a subrecipient of the PY2020 Cobb County Community Development Block Grant - COVID 19 Program  (CDBG-CV) program (Contract # CV20-V20S8-P), to enter into an Agreement for Cobb County Georgia and the City of Smyrna and for the Mayor to execute any and all related documents.
