Title

Approval of a short term extension to the Bus Shelter Advertising contract through December 31, 2020 for the 32 bus shelters located within the City and to authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

Our bus shelter contract with Signal Outdoor is expiring on October 4, 2020. City staff is recommending the approval of a short-term contract extension with Signal Outdoor ending on 12/31/2020. The extension will be at no additional cost to the City and Signal will continue to provide trash collection and basic upkeep as they have previously provided while we go through the RFP process. At the end of the contract extension, Signal will sign over ownership of the shelters per the terms of our original contract.

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Staff recommends a short term extension to the Bus Shelter Advertising contract through December 31, 2020 for the 32 bus shelters located within the City and to authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
