ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Authorize the City of Smyrna to accept and the Mayor to execute the 2021 LMIG, Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant application from the Georgia Department of Transportation in the amount of $464,167.78 and to supplement this grant with a required The Georgia Department of Transportation has informed the City of the availability of an LMIG grant for the FY 2021. The funding from this grant and our 30% match will allow the city to resurface several streets in 2021.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works recommends authorization for the Mayor to execute the 2021 LMIG grant application for $464,167.78 and to supplement this grant with the required 30% match and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
