Title

Approval of a road closure for a buffer lane on Atlanta Road on April 22, 2021 from 7:00pm until approximately 9:00pm for a Campbell High Glow Walk and authorize the Office of the Assistant City Administrator to approve all necessary documents.

 

Body

ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

This event will begin on April 22nd at 7pm in the back parking lot of the high school.  There will be approximately 100 students that will walk in groups (for covid purposes) walking down Fleming Street to Atlanta Road. Utilizing the sidewalks, the students will walk south to Brawner Hall. After a rest, they will return northbound on the sidewalks back to Campbell High School.

An application for a Special Event has been completed and a virtual meeting completed to answer additional questions the Police Department and Fire Department had regarding the event

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Staff recommends approval of a road closure for a buffer lane on Atlanta Road on April 22, 2021 from 7:00pm until approximately 9:00pm for a Campbell High Glow Walk and authorize the Office of the Assistant City Administrator to approve all necessary documents.
