ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Ms. Barwig previously served as the Coordinator for Environmental Services / Keep Smyrna Beautiful and upon the previous Director's resignation, was appointed as the Interim Director by Interim City Administrator Joseph Bennett.
Ms. Barwig has served in this position for several months with recommendation from the Keep Smyrna Beautiful Board, City Administrator Joseph Bennett has brought her name to the Mayor and Council for approval into this permanent position.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: The Keep Smyrna Beautiful Board and staff recommend the appointment of Interim Environmental Services Director Julie Barwig to the permanent position of Environmental Services / Keep Smyrna Beautiful Director.
